The Foundation is pleased to offer this grant in honor of the late Justice Betty Roberts, who created an enduring legacy for her contributions to women in the legal profession.

Together for Good

A Mission Shaped by Community

The grant is available to people who identify as women and/or as members of other historically disadvantaged groups who are board members of an Oregon legal association and desire to attend a leadership conference but do not have sufficient conference funds available through the organization that they serve.

Application

$1500 Grant

An eligible conference must be publicized and open to regional, national or international attendees, and must focus on enhancing the attendee’s leadership skills in the legal profession or as a non-profit board member.

Preference is given to individuals with a demonstrated financial need. Applicants and recipients must be active members in good standing of the Oregon State Bar.

There is no deadline for submission of an application.

The Foundation is pleased to offer this grant in honor of late Foundation Board member Armonica Gilford.

Vernellia R. Randall Bar Exam Grant

The grant is named in honor of Vernellia R. Randall, who made a lasting contribution to the Oregon legal community and plays a significant role in the efforts to give women and historically underrepresented groups greater access to the justice system.

Janis Hardman Medical Support Grant

The Janis Hardman Medical Support Grant grant honors the late Janis Hardman, who showed grace and poise in her battle with cancer and received tremendous support from the OWLS community.
