Oregon Women Lawyers Foundation

Dedicated to Justice for Women and Minorities

Foundation History

Oregon Women Lawyers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) publicly-supported foundation, enjoys a rich history of volunteerism and initiative. Founded in 1996, the Foundation was created by active members of Oregon Women Lawyers who believed it was important to fund, as well as support, organizations and people striving to give women and minorities greater access to the justice system.

Since its humble beginnings, the Foundation has grown in resources and impact due in large part to the efforts of the all-volunteer Foundation Board, especially the leaders.  The Foundation's past presidents are Ann Bartsch (1998-1999), Patricia Heatherman (1999-2000), Hon. Betty Roberts (2000-2001), Hon. Marilyn Litzenberger (2001-2003), Corinne ("Corky") Lai (2003-2004), Laura Caldera Taylor (2004-2005), and Carolyn Miller (2005-2006).

The Foundation is also proud to have Hon. Betty Roberts, Judy Henry, and Katherine O'Neil as Advisory Board members.
